QUAZI ADELINA BILLUR
The Visual Arts have a way of enhancing experiences and elevating the way we interact. Artists can express more with just paint and a few rough brush strokes, than one can with hundreds of words. Why else do we stare at mere particles of pigment for hours on?
Quazi Adelina Billur is a 4th year Biology and Visual Arts Student at the University of British Columbia. With her passion for art and enthusiasm for community building, as the President BSA UBC, she has led several cultural events. As an artist, she tries to incorporate creativity into everything she does. Last year she organized a fashion show to exhibit Bangladesh’s multibillion-dollar garments industry and launched a campaign to raise money and awareness for the Rohingya Refugee Crisis. By combining art and culture, she was able to create and contribute to the wonderfully diverse community here at UBC.
