WAI @ DHAKA is the local chapter of World Awareness Initiative Foundation in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Directors of WAI @ DHAKA organize dialgoue sessions, networking events and workshops.

The ability to work hard is the most valuable trait one can have.
Imad is a second year student at UBC studying Biochemistry.
He has spent many hours volunteering at the Special Olympics, and loves spending time with the kids he teaches at . After completing his undergraduate degree, he hopes to pursue his dreams of becoming a doctor.
PRANTA BARUA
Co-Director of Events
Pranta has more than two years of experience working with Youth's Voice Foundation, and Kites Foundation Bangladesh. He has organized several conferences across the country and the NASA SPACE APPS Challange in 2015.


MONALISA HASANAT
CO-DIRECTOR OF EVENTS
Niki is a second year Biology student at the University of British Columbia. She hopes to pursue medicine in New York City after she completing her Bachelor’s degree.
Niki is also an Equity Ambassador at UBC, she practices the art of calligraphy and plays the Iranian instrument, “Tar”.

Zeba is the Event Director for United Way UBC, a non-profit organization that supports local communities, and the Founder and President of PERIOD at UBC.
In her free time she attempts to make funny narrations of her ordinary life on her blog, and tries to develop the right side of her brain by taking photographs.

DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mithun is the founder of Project Alokito Shishu, which is a non-profit school for underprivileged children in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mithun has gained leadership experience managing over five hundred ambassadors, and is currently working to establish two new schools of Project Alokito Shishu.
